Banner Raffle Series
In 2021, I'll be chainstitching and raffling off a banner in the final week of every month. Each 18x24" banner will be designed by a different artist, and embroidered by me, using an 80-year-old handcranked chainstitch machine. The banners will be raffled off at $10 per entry, and 100% of the money raised will be donated to the organization chosen by the designer of the banner.
To date, we have raised $2,630 to benefit The Chicago Federation of Labor, $1,500 for The Chicago Torture Justice Center, $1,530 for The National Asian Pacific American Women's Forum, $2,100 for Juxtaposition Arts, $5,290 for Hood to the Holler, $1,540 for The LGBTQ Freedom Fund, $3,380 for Keep Growing Detroit, $3,510 for Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida, $580 for Belle Isle Conservancy, $820 for Project Return Tennessee, $3,020 split four ways to Outlier Media, Cicero Independiente , Mission Local, & Feet in 2 Worlds, and $2,540 for Chicago Abortion Fund.
