Design & Fabrication: Parrot Mosaic

While taking a beginner mosaic workshop at the Chicago Mosaic School, I started dreaming up a way to use my new skill while also repairing some damaged tiles in our original 1930’s bathroom. The result was ten parrots of different species that I designed, cut, and installed within pieces of while tile I cut to house them. The process video that I filmed ended up having a lot of fans on instagram & TikTok.
